Everything about Rich and Katie’s wedding last Saturday The Tithe Barn was spectacular.

Storm Darragh was doing its best to disrupt us but, such was the bubble of love around Rich and Katie, that not even the elements could dilute the happiness and joy of their day.

Their love story began 10 years ago this month when they met as they said, ‘ it’s safe to say we haven’t rushed into this! ”

Both arrived as Freshers at Durham University and we’re in the same college.

Their love story is one of soul- searching, determination, sacrifice and driven by the sheer strength of the love they have for each other.

All of the above, coupled with fun, light hearted anecdotes made their ceremony a delight and pleasure .

Our lovely bride walked in to Fiona King, Wedding Pianist playing “Halo” by Beyonce, they signed their wedding certificate to Pachelbel’s “Canon in D” and D&C were showered in both love and confetti listening to Green Day’s “Time of your Life”

Being a garden wedding, what more significant way to mark the day by planting Katherine’s favourite plant- an alstroemeria , cuttings from which were taken and given as keepsakes for their guests on the proviso that there are regular updates on the progress of each plant.

One of my favourite parts of Lisa and Tom’s story was, to use Tom’s words, the way that Lisa “lured” him into their relationship!!

In their “courtship” days, Lisa confidently claimed that, not only was she half Spanish, but that she was also a GREAT singer.

Not only was she stunning but she was also mysterious.

Homely, happy and harmonious – Lizzy married her best friend and the love of her life in her VERY own field on her family farm.

It was EVERYTHING she had dreamed of!

Elegant, sophisticated, calm and serene would be words to sum up Chi and Carmen’s lovely wedding last Friday in the exquisite chapel @ ruddingparkhotel.

The Chinese Tea Ceremony and games had taken place in the morning with Chi and Carmen wearing their beautiful traditional wedding outfits.

Then, in the afternoon, there was so much excitement and anticipation with guests from all over the world joining in with the responses the gusto plus clapping , laughing and being DELIGHTED for Chi and Carmen.

Feast your eyes on this lovely couple, the new Mr & Mrs S and their adored red Labrador, Roo.

Roo joined Jonathan and Helen in his finest attire for the photographs – he wore his best “smile” and exuded his own happiness expressed in his very waggy tail !

Their hand-written vows were kept as a secret from each other until this moment and it was a privilege to witness – both so eloquently expressed their deep happiness at becoming husband and wife, sharing the same surname and their aspirations for their future….all of which would require the nod of approval from their mini-lop (rabbits) Ottis and Hamish!!

Music played a significant part in Lu and Anton’s ceremony. Yes, you can have it all – it’s YOUR day so express your love through your choice of music – it can be as eclectic as you like! No restrictions with a celebrant-led ceremony!
