Chris & Kate
Sunday 28th May, 2023
Horse Shoe Farm, York
Huge love and Congratulations to the wonderful K&C, former Year 7 and Year 10 pupils at Calder High School
Back in 2004, Chris was leading the guided tour around the school and Kate, aged 13, became his biggest fan!
Life happened, as it does, but eventually, their friendship groups overlapped allowing Chris and Kate to meet up again.
Friendship blossomed into love and their love for each other and for their two little dogs flourished!
The Yorkshire Farm Wedding
Kenny and Oscar opened the ceremony on Sunday and behaved impeccably, guided by the beautiful bridesmaids, Helena and Charlotte.
What a truly wonderful wedding for such a lovely couple.
Here are the proud mummy and daddy of Kenny and Oscar who complete the Ironton family!
Kate gathered together her brass band friends from her euphonium playing days with the Elland Youth Band and they all did her proud, conducted superbly by John @johnd4vis.
Everybody loved listening to your arrangements of love songs, with Kate processing into “Irish Blessing” and everyone bopping to their recessional music by The Blues Brothers, “Everybody Needs Somebody”
A wonderfully – personal and meaningful choice for their lovely wedding ceremony.
Then ❤️ Now ❤️ Forever
Just look at these gorgeous photos taken by Kate and Chris’ friend, neighbour and photographer @kieranpaulphotography.
We had the best time, didn’t we? 💕 You can almost hear the laughter…
I swear that even Kenny and Oscar, their page-dogs were smiling throughout too!
The Ceremony… with the most wonderful music and the incredible @elegant_celebrant. From telling our story through to leading us in make our commitment to each other in front of our family and friends, you were everything we could have asked for and more. It was like we had known you for years, thank you for making us feel so comfortable and having a giggle with us throughout.
