What a wonderful, magical and truly romantic wedding for Tasmin and Andrew-

at Denton Hall near Ilkley

in December 2020.

Tasmin and Andrew had had quite a journey to arrive at their dream day. They had hoped to marry on 2nd May 2020, exactly two years after their engagement in Venice but a global pandemic scuppered their plans.

Undeterred, they re-grouped and re-arranged their special day for December and showed patience, resilience and fortitude as the UK’s rules and restrictions twisted, U-turned and changed as covid-19 ravaged through the world.

I have such huge respect and admiration for this lovely couple as they “rolled with the punches” which were thrown at them. They accommodated and coped superbly.

When their day arrived, they were only allowed to have 12 guests – a micro wedding but a macro-experience!

It was the most beautiful, intimate, dignified, humorous and emotional service – there was not a dry eye as we went from tears to laughter, involving all of their virtual guests via the wonders of live streaming.

This couple, their family, and friends and all of the suppliers involved in making this day exceptional will live in my memory forever.

It was such an honour to be their celebrant.

It was great chatting to you and learning a little about what you do too. I only wish more couples would have a Celebrant over a Registrar; whilst most are nice, friendly people, the process lacks any REAL romance, personality and warmth that your part played.
